Knock Out Rose
Rosa 'Knock Out'
Care guide
Pruning & Shaping
Prune early-to-mid March. Reduce by one-third to one-half. If the plant is oversized or leggy, it can be cut back harder to 12-18 inches without harm.
Draper timing note: Wait until the soil is workable AND the 10-day forecast shows no hard freeze below 20 °F before pruning.
Transplanting & Establishment
Early-to-mid March. Lightly prune before moving. Preserve a wide root ball. Monitor moisture carefully after replanting — Knock Outs are tough once established but need consistent water while re-rooting.
Seasonal Care
Early-mid March: Prune (1/3 to 1/2). Transplant if needed. Watch moisture closely through spring establishment.
