Pruning & Shaping
Prune early-to-mid March. Reduce by up to one-third. Panicle hydrangeas bloom on new wood, so late-winter/early-spring pruning is safe and will not sacrifice flowers.
Transplanting & Establishment
Early-to-mid March. Trim back roughly one-third before moving to reduce transplant stress. Mulch 2-3 inches after replanting.
