Lodense Privet
Ligustrum vulgare 'Lodense'
Care guide
Pruning & Shaping
Two pruning windows per year:
Early-mid March: Main shaping pass. Trim evenly from all angles to maintain ball form. Keep the base slightly wider than the top — a subtle taper ensures the lower portions receive adequate light and stay full. Late June: Refinement pass. Light trimming to clean up spring growth and tighten the shape.
Avoid heavy late-summer pruning. New growth stimulated late in the season may not harden off before winter.
Seasonal Care
Early-mid March: Main shaping. Late June: Refinement trim.
